Frequently asked

Who is eligible to enter?
The contest is open to high school graduates and current college or university students worldwide. There is no age minimum beyond completing high school.
Do I need fancy equipment to enter?
Not at all. Phone footage with clear audio and good light wins more often than overproduced videos. Authenticity beats production every time.
Can I enter as a team?
Yes. Teams of up to 3 students can collaborate. Prize money is sent as a single payment to the designated team lead.
What if I'm not a CareerGraph user yet?
No problem. Sign up for free, use the product for at least 24 hours so your video reflects a real experience, then enter.
Does my video have to be in English?
Any language is welcome. Please add English subtitles so our judges from different regions can follow along.
Can I use music in my video?
Yes, but only royalty-free or platform-licensed music (YouTube Audio Library, TikTok library, Pixabay, Epidemic Sound). Copyrighted commercial tracks will be disqualified.
How are taxes handled on prize money?
Winners are responsible for any taxes due in their country of residence. We pay the full prize amount in CAD via Interac e-Transfer or PayPal.
What happens to my video if I win?
You keep ownership. By entering you grant CareerGraph a license to use the video in our marketing, always with credit to you as the creator.
